Biography
Hello, welcome to our website. I am the owner of SCRATCH THE SURFACE TATTOOS. I have been Tattooing for about 20 years now and Body Piercing for around 10. Tattooing was always a passion of mine since the age of 15. Always holding done day jobs, playing in bands and tattooing at night, mostly based in Penn. and the D.C. area, I left 10 years ago and moved down to Orlando Florida and the rest was history. After 12 plus years working in shops around the east coast, I am the proud owner of 2, of the hottest, busiest, most upscale studios in central Florida.” Always an innovator, Never an imitator”. I have always had an art background since birth I think. After graduating from L.H.S. High in Maryland, which has one of the top 3 art programs in the U.S.A., I attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia for graphic and interior design, along with always having an airbrush fascination. A lot of tattoo artist I have seen over the years tend to stick to one style of artwork or tattooing style, I myself like to tattoo anything that is designed or put on the table. Some of my favorite artists are Aaron Cain, Sabado, Paul Booth, Guy, Flip, Tom Renshaw, Dave Waugh, Little Vinnie, Anil, etc. Every piece put in front of me, whether it be a small butterfly or a whole sleeve is a new challenge. Every canvas is totally different especially if it’s a cover up. The ultimate challenge is to cover another artists work and make it so that no one can tell that there was another tattoo there. Believe me I have seen some really bad “attempted” cover-ups!!! Putting out really clean pieces is what I strive for with good, clean line work and really solid color and shading. Taking your time with every piece is why it is very rare I ever have to do touch ups unless its something the customer did during the healing process. Custom work to portraits, I guarantee you will love your tattoo for life.
Booking appointments is preferred with me due the fact I am on call for multiple NBA Players and travel a lot for private sessions.
